Penguin Instruments is the result of over fifteen years of research and development by a small, dedicated team of dental implant experts and engineers. Their experience, expertise and close relationships with specialists worldwide were instrumental in creating a product that offers new levels of clinical excellence.

Resonance Frequency Analysis (RFA) and the measurement standard Implant Stability Quotient (ISQ) were introduced into the dental implant industry in 2001 and are now established methods of measuring implant stability and osseointegration.

In 2015, in response to the dental community’s need for an accessible ISQ measuring system, Integration Diagnostics Sweden AB (IDSAB) was founded. The company’s management consists of the same people who started the Osstell company back in 1999.

Integration Diagnostics products are designed to be uncomplicated and affordable, allowing all dentists who work with implants access to the method, in the interest of improving patient care and outcomes.

On November 30, 2018, Integration Diagnostics Sweden AB (IDSAB) became part of the Japanese company Nakanishi Inc.

These days, the trend in implant dentistry is to use short or no healing periods before loading. This places great demands on the clinical team. If conditions are not optimal, poor primary stability may increase the risk of implant failure.

Penguin Instruments measures implant stability and osseointegration to support decisions about when to load. This is especially important when using protocols with shorter treatment times or treating at-risk patients.
